Internet has become so indispensable part of our life that modern teachers even practice posting assignments at web pages. Indeed, in most western countries almost all students have computers  and enjoy access to Internet. That is why they can easily get information of various kinds sitting at their home place without going out to the library. For example, some teachers post assignments to write an essay on particular theme or make a translation of some text. That can be quite effective. But we should not rule out that still not all students can have a constant access to Internet. And that is why the best approach is combining old methods with the new ones, taking advantage of all of them.
